Dr.Samit Sharma born in 1972, received his Bachelor’s Degree in medicine Surgery and completed his M.D. in paediatrics fro Rajasthan. He practiced in different hospitals of Rajasthan for nearly five years as medical doctor before taking up his IAS exam. Chittorgarh district collector- Dr Samit Sharma knows how the system works. He has served as SDO in Jodhpur from 2006 to 2007, C.E.O., Nagar Nigam, Kota from 2007 to 2008 while serving in Land Revenue Dept. and public works. He has also given his services as a secretary urban dev. Project, Kota in 2008. He is married with two kids and his wife is also a medical doctor. His innovative and pioneer work in generic medicine project in Chittorgarh, is the one which all district administrations should imitate across India to provide affordable health care, medicine and surgical items, so that the poor can benefit from them.
